In spite of many grisly advertisements, people in the US don’t think texting and
driving is a big deal. We wanted to reframe the context of texting and driving. By
comparing it to drunk driving. A great way to do that was to make a shareable, can’tlook-
away online video that illustrates the hypocrisy of caring so much about one
dangerous behavior, while ignoring another that causes even more injuries. The
video was placed online and picked up press during April Distracted Driving Month.
The video was also made available to, and picked up by other distracted driving
awareness organizations throughout the US.
